KehittämistarveMany rural and remote regions are facing challenges such as youth outmigration, lack of digital skills, and difficulties in accessing opportunities. Young people and underrepresented groups often feel disconnected from decision-making and future possibilities.

InnoGS responds to this need by creating local innovation communities that bring together public services, education, businesses, and citizens. Through digital tools and gamified solutions, the project helps regions become more inclusive, connected, and attractive – especially for young talent. InnoGS also connects these local communities internationally to share knowledge and strengthen cooperation across borders.
Toimenpiteet
TuloksetInnoGS creates practical, tested solutions that help rural areas become more inclusive, innovative, and digitally connected. The results are developed together with public authorities, schools, associations, NGOs, and businesses to make sure they truly meet local needs.

Key results include:
New ways to make both physical and digital spaces more inclusive
Co-working spaces that help attract and keep local talent
A collection of activities to solve local challenges using digital tools
Training materials for improving digital skills in organisations
An international online platform (Digital Innovation District) to share ideas, tools, and events – including a joint hackathon

These results will support long-term impact by helping communities and organisations across regions to work better together and adopt new digital approaches.
