| Kuvaus | To develop and deepen research knowledge exchange, learning and networking between all relevant AKIS actors across the primary PROJECT themes: Risks, Health and Wellbeing, Sustainable Consumption at regional or national level and internationally. Important is to study and develop the available safety management research information so, that it is in usable knowledge form for farmers and farm workers to use.
To create productive and appropriate sub-networks based on PROJECT topics, to which the most relevant knowledge based on research undertaken within WPs 3 - 6 will be funnelled, knowledge that is also responsive to a ‘needs register’ generated by workshops with wide ranging grassroots/other actors and associated ‘Hot Topics’. To foster through dedicated events - for different actors and stakeholders across sectoral and national boundaries - cross-fertilisation of knowledge and learning, supporting innovation uptake. Criteria for workshop deliverables and farm level interaction are asked for. |

- Farmers’ and farm workers’ health and safety, and - On the implications of the perceptions of their work on the future of the sector and hence on long-term food security; - Improved health, safety and labour conditions in farming thanks to better innovative bottom-up initiatives. - Bottom-up initiatives on farms and with the farmers and farm workers - Assessment of EU / National policy and legal frameworks - Wider use of corporate social responsibility innovations by farm businesses; and - Improved policy and governance frameworks favouring safer and more inclusive working environments for farmers and farm workers; |
